Al’s paternal grandparents were Alfio “Alfred” Sapienza (the son of Giuseppe Sapienza and Lucia Di Stefano) and Rosaria/Rosarie Fazio (the daughter of Gaetano Fazio and Domenica Rizza/Frizza). Alfio and Rosaria were both from Sicily, Italy. Rosaria was from Augusta, Province of Siracusa.
