Giorgia Meloni is an Italian journalist and politician. She has been President of Fratelli d’Italia (“Brothers of Italy”), a right-wing party, since 8 March, 2014. She previously served as Minister of Youth in Silvio Berlusconi’s fourth government, from 8 May, 2008 to 16 November, 2011.
Giorgia is the daughter of Francesco Meloni and Anna Paratore. Her father was Sardinian, from Cagliari, and her maternal grandfather was Sicilian, from Messina. She has a daughter with her partner Andrea Giambruno.
Giorgia’s maternal grandmother was named Maria.
